Bring back 320kbps .mp3

Download wave file instead, MP3 is crap

Altho mp3s are most compatible, I'd prefer if they'd use a more modern, efficient and also better sounding codec like aac, mp4,opus or something like that. I just download my wav files, I convert them to flac usually which is lossless. i do think the upper frequencies in certain genres its noticeable going from 320kbps to 192. mp3 codec using V0 variable bitrate is what I use if I convert to mp3s. And yes ofc this service requires subscriptions, the GPUs,infrastructure, employees and power usage must cost astronomically high.

It was never 320 kbps. It was always 192kbps. there was no change in the format of the mp3.

Would it be possible for pro subscribers to download mp3 at 320? I often download the wav then convert to 320 MP3, but it takes a lot more time.

How do you expect Udio to improve if you want premium features for free?

I agree with Goro, it is so noticeable. The big disappointment. It seems that this is the way how to "gently" force people to pay.

UdioAdam: Are you planning to switch to additional subscription settings?
Server load. I think Udio is not concepts PromoDJ.

For most people, it is difficult to discern the difference between 192kbps and 320kbps MP3, and 192kbps is sufficient to ensure good sound quality. If you are looking for high-quality audio, WAV files are a better choice than 320kbps MP3 files.
nah
Why 192 kbps? Not 256 kbps?. I just found out today. Normally i don't like to complain, but this change was kinda sneaky.

I don't want WAV files. They're huge. A 30 second chunk alone is 6mb. This is the choice between 140p and 8k I just want MP3 files that actually fit in storage devices and aren't of lower quality than a standard MP3.

ixusillwrath426 UdioAdam I definitely see what you're both saying and I agree ixus that I personally don't use wavs unless I'm mixing. I suppose you can always convert them to a higher quality mp3. unfortunately recently had to find out that audacity at least lets you transform 100+ files at a single time
